Award is Double Top for Duncan & Toplis

Staff at Duncan & Toplis are celebrating after being named as the leading medium accountancy firm in the East Midlands for the second year running.

Duncan & Toplis won the Medium Accountancy Firm of the Year award at the Nottingham, Derby and Lincoln Society of Chartered Accountants’ awards evening held at Eastwood Hall on Thursday 5th March.

Last year they took home the same prize at the society’s inaugural awards ceremony.

The awards celebrate the best achievements of local ICAEW (Institute Of Chartered Accountants In England and Wales) members and the medium accountancy firm award is open to firms with between six and 25 partners or principals.

The winners were the firms which, in the opinion of the judges, made the most significant contribution to the economic prosperity of the East Midlands in the past 12 months, including the success of the business, its contribution to the East Midlands economy and its contribution to the wellbeing of the region’s residents (for example, through charitable or voluntary activities).

“We were delighted to win the inaugural award last year and to come back and win again this year is a very special achievement for us,” said Adrian Reynolds, Managing Director of Duncan & Toplis.

“We work extremely hard on behalf of our clients across the East Midlands and I am pleased that the skill and dedication of all our staff has been rewarded in this way by the institute.

“The award recognises not only excellence in client service but also our commitment to our local communities and our staff. We are very aware that our business will flourish if our communities do the same and we work very hard to not only support our clients but also contribute to our communities in a variety of ways.

“The judges recognised that we had high regard for our social responsibilities in addition to our support to the businesses we act for.”

The dinner was hosted by the President of the Nottingham, Derby & Lincoln Society of Chartered Accountants, Chris Hopkinson, and the Medium Accountancy Firm of the Year award was sponsored by Orchard Funding Ltd.
