Can You Name Accountants’ Ale?

Leading chartered accountants Duncan & Toplis are inviting creative beer drinkers to come up with a name for their signature ale, set to be served up at this year’s Cereals event.

Collaboration with the popular Lincolnshire brewery, Batemans, began in 2013 and is continuing this year but with a different brew, hence a new name is being sought.

The tipple is described as a classic, English tawny pale ale, brewed with pale, chocolate, crystal and wheat malts, blended with spicy Challenger and Styrian Golding hops to create a fruity beer with a peppery aroma and a fruit biscuit flavour.

The winner will see their name being used on specially designed labels for the beer, and will also receive a Sony portable wireless speaker.

Adrian Reynolds, Managing Director at Duncan & Toplis said: “Cereals is not only a chance to hear of the latest insights into the region’s arable farming industry, but also an opportunity for socialising.  We have a large marquee in which to entertain clients and contacts of the firm and having our own Lincolnshire beer is a great talking point.

“Batemans always provide a fantastic quality beer and we’re glad to be able to open up the naming competition again for this brew.”

The last special beer bottled for Duncan & Toplis by Batemans was dubbed ‘Capital Grains’ in 2013 by competition winner Annie Taylor from Evesham who found out about the competition on Twitter.

Entry to the competition is open until 9am on Wednesday 27th April and entries should be sent to Hannah Clark via email (hannah.clark@duntop.co.uk), providing name and contact details.

Duncan & Toplis will be exhibiting on Stand 605 at Cereals, which takes place at Chrishall Grange, near Duxford, Cambridgeshire on 15th and 16th June.
