A nursery carer is hoping her personality will take her all the way at the NMT Nursery Awards 2016 this month.

Emma Horton from Fennies Day Nursery at Beech House in Sanderstead has been shortlisted in the Nursery Personality category at the national awards that celebrate the very best people in the sector.

Emma is a room leader for children aged two to five at Fennies Day Nursery and Preschool in Church Way, Sanderstead.

Organised by Nursery Management Today, the leading business publication in the nursery sector, the awards are designed to reward excellence in early years childcare.

“I was really touched to even be nominated for this award, let alone become a finalist!” said Emma.

“It was such a surprise to find out that I had been nominated and there were lots of lovely testimonies from some of the parents and my colleagues. I can’t believe I’m in the top five!”

Amie Corbett, Nursery Manager at Fennies at Beech House in Sanderstead, added: “Emma is such a credit to our team; she is amazing with the children and so deserving of the award. We’re all wishing her the best of luck!”

Emma will join over 500 guests at the ceremony at the Hilton London Metropole on 26^th November, where the winners will be presented with their trophies by Lord Winston.

Fennies at Beech House in Sanderstead is currently rated outstanding by Ofsted.
