Leading chartered accountancy firm  Duncan & Toplis is expanding its practice today by opening an office in Loughborough.

Duncan & Toplis has acquired the firm of Marsh & Moss in the town, which will trade as Duncan & Toplis incorporating Marsh & Moss from today (1^st October 2015).

The acquisition brings the number of offices in the Duncan & Toplis group to 11 and provides the company with a second office in Leicestershire, alongside Melton Mowbray.

Adrian Reynolds, Managing Director of Duncan & Toplis, said the firm’s latest expansion was a significant move.

“The acquisition fits in with our strategic plan as Loughborough has been a target area for us for some time,” he said.

“Marsh & Moss is one of the leading accountancy firms in Loughborough, and our acquisition of this well regarded business will create significant opportunities for all of our service offerings.

“We’re very much looking forward to integrating the Marsh & Moss team and working together to make Duncan & Toplis even stronger than before.”

Marsh & Moss currently has three directors and a team of 16 staff who will all join the 350 colleagues employed currently by Duncan & Toplis.

Martin Shannon and Julie Chapman will join Duncan & Toplis as directors while Neil Harris will assist in the transition stage of the handover before retiring.
