LEP Aims to Raise the Bar at Business Live Event

The theme of this year’s LEP Business Live will be ‘raising the bar’ as businesses and politicians shout louder about what puts the ‘great’ in Greater Lincolnshire.

LEP Business Live is the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership’s annual summit and networking event which will take place this year on Friday 21st October at the EPIC Centre on the Lincolnshire Showground.

Greater Lincolnshire’s essential business event is the highlight of the business year and comes at the end of the now firmly established Lincolnshire Business Week. It will take place from 8.15am until 1pm.

Organisers want to use the opportunity to celebrate Greater Lincolnshire’s achievements and potential while updating delegates on the progress the LEP has made over the past 12 months.

Part conference and panel discussion and part business-to-business exhibition, LEP Business Live will feature exhibitors, guest speakers and business networking.

There will also be a dedicated exhibition area with zones corresponding to some of the LEP’s most important priorities, from agrifood and manufacturing to the visitor economy and the low-carbon sector.

Ursula Lidbetter MBE, Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, will be hosting the event as usual.

“We live in very exciting times for Greater Lincolnshire,” she said. “We are working with other LEPs to make a success of the Midlands Engine for Growth, and we are consulting with businesses and residents about whether devolved powers and an elected mayor for Greater Lincolnshire are a good idea.

“Alongside those major projects we are also in talks to attract even more Growth Deal funding from government for major infrastructure projects, we are launching a Water Management Plan for our area, and we will soon be setting out a new transport strategy for Greater Lincolnshire.

“We’ve got lots of good news to communicate to business leaders in our area and we hope that many of them will take the opportunity to come and talk to us in October.”

LEP Business Live was launched in October 2013 as a flagship event for businesses in Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.

Admission is free and complimentary refreshments and brunch will be served.

Exhibitor packages start at £150. Businesses interested in exhibiting should email karis.hildred@lincolnshiremedia.co.uk or businesslive@lincolnshiremedia.co.uk.
