LEP Seeks Projects to Support ‘Transformational Change’

The Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership has today launched a call for projects that will deliver transformational change to the Greater Lincolnshire economy.

Applicants from the public and private sectors are invited to identify schemes which will form the basis of future LEP bids if more funding comes forward following the Government’s Budget Statement next month.

Projects are encouraged from all organisations with an interest in driving growth, productivity and innovation in the Greater Lincolnshire area and the LEP is specifically seeking proposals which will:

• unlock sites for housing and employment
• improve connectivity within the Greater Lincolnshire and beyond
• stimulate and support innovation
• improve the skills and talent of the current and future workforce
• support business growth through access to resources and advice
• support key strategic sectors.

Proposals should require a minimum of £1 million growth funding support and be in a position to begin delivery before 31st March 2021. They must demonstrate value for money and good deliverability, respond to Government and Greater Lincolnshire LEP strategic growth targets relating to job creation, housing delivery, learning provision and infrastructure development, and directly contribute to the priorities identified within the Strategic Economic Plan for Greater Lincolnshire.

Ursula Lidbetter MBE, Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, commented: “The LEP has already had a significant impact on the Greater Lincolnshire economy by drawing down funding from central Government which will really make a positive change in our area.

“We are now in a position to support further growth and we are keen to hear from people in the public and the private sector who want to bring forward major schemes.”

Those interested in submitting a proposal should download the business case template and submit this to Halina.Davies@lincolnshire.gov.uk by 12 noon on Monday 7th March.  To discuss your application in more detail, contact Halina on 07799 074247.
