Obam Announced as Quality in Construction Finalists
Lincolnshire-based Obam Stairlifts, which helps people with mobility problems live more independently, has been shortlisted for a West Lindsey Quality in Construction Award.
The family firm’s workshop in Sturton by Stow is among the finalists in the Best Commercial Building category which is being sponsored by Knauf Insulation.
The awards, run by West Lindsey District Council, recognise and celebrate the success of buildings designed and constructed within the district.
Sensitivity to the local environment and evidence that the design supports the commercial purpose of the building are top of the agenda for the judges, who will also consider two other buildings in the Best Commercial Building category before announcing the winner at an awards ceremony at The White Heather, Caenby Corner on 15th April.
Obam Stairlifts Director Pete Morley said: “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for an award by West Lindsey District Council. As well as being designed to fit in with the local surroundings, our new workshop has allowed us to store much more equipment and safely house our maintenance tools.
