Sleaford Chip Shop Confirms Place Among the Elite

The Elite Fish and Chip Company’s restaurant and takeaway in Sleaford has been recognised by industry experts for serving the highest quality fish and chips.

The third-generation family business has restaurant and takeaway outlets in Sleaford, Lincoln and Ruskington and all three now hold the prestigious National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) Fish and Chip Quality Award.

To achieve the Quality Award, fish and chip outlets must pass an inspection by an NFFF-approved assessor who looks at the shop’s presentation, hygiene and cleanliness, staff training, equipment, frying, sales skills and the quality of the cooked product.

Rachel Tweedale, manager of The Elite Fish and Chip Company’s Sleaford restaurant and takeaway, said: “The Quality Award is a great achievement in the fish and chip industry and we are thrilled to secure it.

“We work very hard to provide our customers with the best quality fish and chips. Every detail of our food preparation was scrutinised, from the sustainable fish we source to the fresh potatoes that we use for our chips.”

Richard Wardell, NFFF Training and Accreditation Manager, said: “The NFFF Fish and Chip Quality Award assessment is extremely comprehensive and achieving the award provides reassurance to customers that they are being served cooked food using high-quality ingredients.

“The Elite Fish and Chip Company clearly takes pride in where it sources its fish and potatoes from.”
