Three is the Magic Number for Duncan & Toplis

The team at Duncan & Toplis is celebrating after being named as the leading medium accountancy firm in the East Midlands for the third year running.

Duncan & Toplis won the Medium Accountancy Firm of the Year award at the Nottingham, Derby and Lincoln Society of Chartered Accountants’ awards evening held at Eastwood Hall last night (3rd March).

The awards celebrate the best achievements of local ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) firms, and the medium accountancy firm award is open to practices with between six and 25 partners or principals.

The winner was the firm which, in the opinion of the judges, made the most significant contribution to the economic prosperity of the East Midlands in the past 12 months. The judges looked at the success of the business, its contribution to the East Midlands economy and its contribution to the wellbeing of the region’s residents (for example, through charitable or voluntary activities).

As if that weren’t enough, the firm’s Grantham office is also on a high after colleague Jade Fernandes won the Trainee Chartered Accountant of the Year award last night, recognising her recent achievements in her professional exams for which she gained the highest results in the region.

Adrian Reynolds, Managing Director at Duncan & Toplis, said: “To be crowned winners three years in a row is testament to the hard work that we do. We’re very proud to have been recognised by our peer group.

“We’ve shown a level of consistency through tough economic times and helped our clients in every way possible. It’s a great reflection on the commitment of our team.”

Adrian added: “Congratulations should also go to Jade. Her award speaks volumes about the team she works with, who can offer a wealth of knowledge and a variation in clients that means she receives valuable experience to put into practice.

“To succeed in the examinations she excelled in and to receive this award takes many different skill sets; she has taken everything on board.”
