Greater Lincolnshire LEP

Two Well Known Additions to LEP Board

Two well known businessmen have taken up new roles on the board of the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership.

Pat Doody from NatWest Bank and Steve Middlebrough from Siemens are the latest to join the board of the private sector led partnership which works to create sustainable economic growth across Greater Lincolnshire.

Pat Doody has worked all over Lincolnshire, including Lincoln, Grimsby and Boston, for more than 25 years and is currently responsible for NatWest Bank’s commercial team locally.

This has involved working with many organisations in the LEP’s priority areas, including manufacturing, tourism, agriculture and renewables.

He is Vice Chair of the Lincoln College Group, an advisory board member of the University of Lincoln’s Business School and Chair of the working group behind Lincoln’s biennial digital arts festival Frequency.

Steve Middlebrough will be the LEP’s lead on manufacturing. He was born in Kendal and lived there until he was 17, when he joined the RAF as an electrical engineer apprentice. This role eventually brought him to RAF Binbrook, where he stayed for eight years before joining Siemens (which at the time was Ruston Gas Turbines).

Steve has now been with Siemens for 32 years in roles ranging from Turbine Package Build Manager and Director of Service Engineering to his current position as Global Manufacturing Head for Service.

Over the last five years he has been project lead on delivering the new School of Engineering in partnership with the University of Lincoln and Siemens’ new service facility at Teal Park.

“With their extensive business skills and experience these two new appointments will significantly strengthen our board and we are looking forward to working together with Pat and Steve,” said Ursula Lidbetter MBE, Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP.
