Increasing demand for outsourced payroll services has meant that chartered accountants Duncan & Toplis have relocated one of their dedicated teams to the firm’s Lincoln office.

The relocation of the payroll team from Newark marks an important milestone for the Lincoln office, which opened in 2001.

Duncan & Toplis Director Damon Brain explained: “Over the last decade, we have been steadily growing the team here at Lincoln. This means that our purpose-built premises here on Doddington Road are now almost at capacity, which was our aim.

“The arrival of the payroll team comes at a time when we are experiencing an unprecedented demand for outsourced payroll services. With Real Time Information (RTI) having been introduced in 2013, and with pension auto enrolment currently being phased in for all employers, we are seeing more businesses choosing to use our payroll service.”

Duncan & Toplis will be recruiting further payroll specialists at Lincoln with a view to growing the team to meet the expected high demand.

Damon added: “We are able to look after the full spectrum of payroll accounts, anything from a business with a single employee up to companies with several hundred. Clients are finding that outsourcing to Duncan & Toplis is often much more economical in the short term compared to some of the associated software.”
