Could your business benefit from a new digital grant scheme? Lincolnshire  IT specialist Datcom is encouraging local firms to find out if they could apply for funding from the Lincolnshire Growth Hub to help create jobs.  

Andy Maddison, Account Manager at Datcom, said: “The Digital Grant is aimed at businesses which want to invest in ICT to enable them to grow and recruit new staff. It’s not often specific schemes like this become available so if you have ambitions to grow in 2017, it’s a great place to start.

“Grants of up to £1,000 will be available and could support up to 50% of the total cost of the project. This can help to fund implementation of internal ICT such as e-commerce platforms, websites, the use of cloud data storage and digital management systems.”

David Hawkins, Growth Hub Adviser at the Lincolnshire Growth Hub said that applications from businesses within the food and drink production, manufacturing and engineering, transport and logistics, visitor economy, healthcare and renewables industries will be prioritised, but that should not put other businesses off.

David added: “Job creation is one of the key aims of the scheme. This is a great opportunity for those who might have been putting off ambitious projects to perhaps kick-start their plans.”

Applicants will be able to start the process from the end of January and advisers will be available to help register businesses and to gather evidence to support applications.
