Duncan & Toplis Scan the Horizon for 2016 Directors’ Briefing

This year’s annual Directors’ Briefing from leading East Midlands chartered accountants Duncan & Toplis will look to the future and the opportunities and threats businesses could be faced with over the coming years.

Entitled ‘Scanning the Horizon’, the free-to-attend briefing will bring together business leaders from across the region, providing them with insights and advice from a range of expert speakers.

Held at the Belton Woods Hotel in Grantham on Friday 25th November from 8.30am, the keynote speaker for this year’s event will be Director General of the Institute of Directors Simon Walker.

Simon Walker became Director General of the Institute of Directors (IoD) in October 2011. As the public face of the IoD and the most senior representative of the membership, Simon debates regularly in the media and engages with senior figures from across government, politics and Whitehall. With a past in journalism and communications, his speech promises to be both topical and engaging.

Managing Director at Duncan & Toplis Adrian Reynolds, said: “Following Britain’s vote to leave the EU in June, there is much talk among the business community about what the future holds. Although this is not intended to be a fully Brexit focused event, we hope the speaker line-up we have put together for this year’s briefing will go some way towards enlightening delegates on what they might expect to see happen from a range of different perspectives. I am looking forward to chairing the event and hearing what they all have to say.”

Other speakers on the day are:

Mark Berrisford-Smith – Head of Economics at HSBC UK
Tony Brooks – Leadership Specialist at The Leadership Training Workshop
Neil Everatt – CEO of Software Europe
Ursula Lidbetter MBE – Chief Executive of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP
James Marshall – Partner Technology Strategist at Microsoft UK
Stephen Phillips – QC and Conservative MP for Sleaford & North Hykeham
Nicholas Smith – Director and Head of Tax at Duncan & Toplis
