Do you want to get ahead in online marketing? Then a free session at Mercury House, Gainsborough could be up your street!

Running from 5pm until 6.30pm on Tuesday 10th November, the onlincolnshire presentation by Gainsborough company drumBEAT Marketing will cover a number of issues which will be important to any business with an online presence. drumBEAT is an international, Google-partnered SEO agency dealing with clients in both the US and Europe, with its second office in Houston, Texas.

drumBEAT’s SEO expert Matt Williamson – ranked in the top 50 of the largest paid SEO community in the world – will be giving advice.

Matt said: “The internet is changing every day and businesses need to keep up in order to remain competitive and relevant to customers. My talk will explain how people can achieve this in a tangible way.

“I’ll be giving advice that everyone can understand, whether you have a technical background in place or not and regardless of the size of your business.”

Matt’s session will also cover how mobile devices have changed recently and the ways businesses need to adapt, as well as a summary of the latest Google developments.

He will also cover the issue of website speeds and how this can affect your site’s success, while also focusing on how recent search changes have impacted on local online advertising.

Executive Member for Economic Development at Lincolnshire County Council, Cllr Colin Davie, said: “With the success of the onlincolnshire project, over 100,000 homes and businesses have access to superfast broadband in the county.

“Sessions like this make sure businesses are informed on how to best use this opportunity for growth. The potential for success here is huge now we have the required speeds, so attending free advice workshops is in everyone’s interest. We would urge those with ambitions to really make it online with their business to take part.”

Attendance is free, but booking is essential as numbers are limited. To reserve your place, email onlincolnshire@lincs-chamber.co.uk or call 01522 523 333.

About onlincolnshire
• onlincolnshire is a Lincolnshire County Council-run project which is part-funded by the East Midlands European Regional Development Fund Programme 2007 to 2013.
• In March 2013, the council signed a £48 million contract with BT to provide superfast broadband to at least 88% of county properties by 2016, with the remaining properties having access to at least of 2Mbps broadband. A further investment of £2.8 million was announced in February 2014 which has increased the number of properties to 89%.
• The contract with BT concentrates on an intervention area of over 150,000 premises where existing or planned commercial roll outs would not deliver superfast speeds.
• The Department for Communities and Local Government is the managing authority for the European Regional Development Fund Programme, which is one of the funds established by the European Commission to help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support local businesses and create jobs.
