Investment in Growth as Six Promoted at Duncan & Toplis

It’s smiles all round at award-winning chartered accountants Duncan & Toplis as six senior team members have received promotions.

Theo Banos from the Grantham office, Sleaford’s Kay Botley and Lincoln’s Antony Voakes have been promoted from Associate Director to Director, recognising their hard work and commitment.

Commenting on his promotion, Theo said: “It’s very exciting to be given the responsibility; becoming a director is something I’ve always aspired to.”

Kay added: “I am thrilled to have been promoted – I have worked at Duncan & Toplis for 15 years with a fantastic team. I am looking forward to working on new projects with existing clients and establishing relationships with new clients, particularly within the healthcare sector.”

Antony, who has been with the firm since 2014 and specialises in tax, said: “This is a fantastic place to work, with excellent colleagues and clients. Becoming a director will mean I help make decisions that will help to grow our reach.”

The firm has also given managers Michele Coe-Baxter from the Skegness office and Alistair Main from the Spalding office Associate Director positions, while manager Niall Kingsley, currently at Grantham, has become Senior Manager at the firm’s recently acquired Loughborough office.

Michele, who has been with the firm since leaving school, said: “I’m really excited to be given the challenge to grow our portfolio, particularly within the leisure sector where we already deal with the biggest caravan parks and hotels in the region.”

Alistair is also looking forward to taking on his role, citing Duncan & Toplis’ supportive development structure as a reason he has progressed so far: “I’m delighted to have been promoted, and the company has been incredibly supportive in my 12 years with them. I’m keen to further develop our base here in Spalding as there’s huge potential within the area.”

Niall, who is moving over to the Loughborough office, said: “With Duncan & Toplis taking over from an already impressive and long-standing firm such as Marsh & Moss in the town, we have a great base to build on in Loughborough. Research and development within technology could be a huge growth area for us here.”

Adrian Reynolds, Managing Director at Duncan & Toplis, said: “Having recently won the ICAEW East Midlands Medium Accountancy Firm of the Year award for the third year running, the six promotions we have made come at an exciting time for Duncan & Toplis.

“Their combined expertise and talent is what has marked each of them out as suitable candidates and I wish them all the best in their new positions. We look forward to seeing these superb individuals develop further and their associated specialisms benefit our valued clients.”
