Grantham-based IT specialist Datcom has enjoyed an outstanding year so far with three new ISO certifications, an office refurbishment and two new Business Development Managers.

Datcom, which is a sister company of leading chartered accountants and business advisers Duncan & Toplis, is growing rapidly and now employs 20 people at its offices on Elmer Street South in Grantham and Henley Way in Lincoln.

The company has just received three new certifications from the International Organization for Standardization: ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 20000 (IT Service Management) and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management).

Operations Manager Jonathan King said the new certifications provide increased reassurance for clients and will enable Datcom to secure larger contracts in future.

“It’s been a lot of of work – it’s taken us about a year to get them – but they will give our clients more confidence and we can now tender for public sector contracts that we couldn’t go for previously,” he said.

Datcom is growing its client base and Lewis Jackson and Hannah Sang have joined the firm to help bring in more business. As Business Development Managers, Lewis and Hannah work closely with prospective clients to advise where Datcom can assist with their IT needs and are the first point of contact for enquiries about Datcom’s services.

“Lewis and Hannah have already had some success and have brought in seven big clients since they started,” said Managing Director Andrew Townsend.

“The last few months have been a very busy period of changes and achievements and it’s been a great year so far.”
