Lincoln Fish and Chip Restaurant is Among Nation’s Elite
The Elite Fish & Chip Company has been named as one of the UK’s top ten fish and chip restaurants and will compete for the Independent Fish and Chip Restaurant of the Year Award 2017.
The restaurant in Lincoln will now progress to the next stage of judging, where a team of judges are due to visit the restaurant on an unannounced date over the coming weeks.
They will rigorously assess both front and back of house aspects to determine the overall top five restaurants in this particular category, who will then compete for the highest accolade to be presented at the National Fish & Chip Awards ceremony in London on 26th January 2017.
To reach this stage of the competition, the Elite has faced appraisal by industry experts across a wide variety of judging criteria including fish source policies, restaurant facilities and appearance, staff training and development practices, menu diversification and marketing and promotional activity.
Owner Adrian Tweedale said: “This is a fantastic achievement for us and recognises the hard work and dedication of all of our staff at the Elite in Lincoln.
“We do everything we can to deliver a great service and are delighted to be the only restaurant in Lincolnshire to have reached this stage of one of the most prominent and respected seafood industry competitions in the UK.”
The National Fish & Chip Awards, organised by Seafish, recognise and reward businesses producing the best fish and chips across the UK.
