The Moggies will perform at an outdoor charity event in August.

Musical Moggies Raise Cash for Doggies

An outdoor charity concert in North Lincolnshire is helping to raise cash for rescue dogs next month.

1960s band The Moggies and acoustic duo Mia and the Moon are performing at The Mount Tea Room in Castlethorpe, near Brigg on Saturday 16th August at 5.30pm in support of Jerry Green Dog Rescue.

Tickets for Moggies for the Doggies include live music and evening supper for just £15. A licensed summer bar and ice cream are also available.

“We’re really excited to be hosting our second Moggies for the Doggies summer concert at The Mount Tea Room,” said Catherine Foster, Head of Fundraising for Jerry Green Dog Rescue.

“Both acts went down really well at our fundraising event last year and we’re looking forward to seeing them perform in the big top marquee again this year. It’s a great venue, just perfect for an outdoor summer concert.

“All the proceeds will help us to look after rescue dogs in our care before finding them the perfect new home. Thank you so much both acts, The Moggies, Mia and the Moon, and Zara Grey for supplying the beautiful venue and all of her support in this joint fundraising event!”

As this is an outdoor event, guests are advised to wear suitable clothing & footwear and a torch for use in the car park. Dogs are welcome.

Tickets are available from Jerry Green Dog Rescue’s fundraising department, Broughton, Brigg, North Lincs, DN20 0BJ – call 01652 650886 or email fundraising@jerrygreendogs.org.uk – and The Mount Tea Room, Castlethorpe, DN20 9LG.

Notes to editors:

Jerry Green Dog Rescue was founded in 1961 in Broughton, Lincolnshire and is now one of the UK’s largest dog rescue charities. It has rescue centres in five locations:

• Gilberdyke, East Yorkshire
• Blidworth near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
• Broughton near Brigg, North Lincolnshire
• Algarkirk near Boston, Lincolnshire
• Thirsk, North Yorkshire

Jerry Green Dog Rescue has a caring ethos which puts the dogs in its care at the centre of everything it does. It also operates a policy whereby prospective adopters are introduced to dogs in a neutral environment away from the kennel, resulting in less stress for the dog and increasing the chances of permanent homes being found.

The adoption process at Jerry Green Dog Rescue involves a number of introductory visits and the rehoming team provide pre and post adoption support to ensure the move to the dog’s new home is as smooth as possible.

The charity receives no Government or National Lottery funding. This means it is dependent on the generosity of public and corporate donors/sponsors.
