Nine Trainees Join Duncan & Toplis

Nine accountancy trainees have joined the ranks of chartered accountants and business advisers Duncan & Toplis.

The trainees were welcomed to the company at an induction day held at the Grantham office.

They are all beginning ACA (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) or AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualifications.

One of the trainees, Thomas Lindsey, has already undertaken two work experience placements at Duncan & Toplis. After achieving two A grades and a A* at A-level he decided to join the firm as a trainee accountant instead of going to university.

“Thomas is a fantastic example of the sort of talented young people we are keen to recruit,” said Damon Brain, a Director of Duncan & Toplis.

“Joining one of the region’s leading accountancy practices is an excellent training opportunity. While many of our trainees are graduates, Thomas is a good example of how it’s possible to get on the ladder of a fulfilling career without going to university.”

“Our trainees are key to the future success of the firm and our induction day is a very important date in the Duncan & Toplis calendar. We’re delighted to welcome all nine to the company.”
